Raised in Fowey, Cornwall, Lynne Hughes has worked in hospitality for over 30 years. From her fine dining restaurant in Plymouth, which attracted media celebrities and wealthy businessmen, to running a tapas bar in Torquay. Lynne turned an Inn/Hotel in Cornwall from zero stars to 3 stars. Her career has been diverse. Despite her best efforts, unforeseen circumstances hit her business hard, leaving her struggling to keep it afloat. Instead of giving up, she dug deep, finding the strength to come back stronger than ever.Seeking a change, Lynne moved to the East End of London, where she immersed herself into "Immaculatte",  a commitment to Sustainability before eventually settling in Bournemouth.

Through sheer determination and resilience, Lynne rebuilt her business from the ground up, leaning on her extensive experience and unwavering commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.Throughout her career, Lynne Hughes has navigated the highs and lows of the hospitality business. Her ventures have faced significant challenges, from economic downturns to evolving consumer demands. Yet, through it all, Hughes has emerged as a steadfast leader,committed to making a difference. Working alongside her long-term business partner and friend, Chef T, Lynne launched HERBiT.

 

This venture brings delicious flavours with superfoods, antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins to encourage healthy eating using fresh ingredients. HERBiT has won many awards,including the esteemed Taste of the West Gold Award 2024. Now, Lynne is seeking investors to help secure the further development of HERBiT, as she focuses increasingly on her passion for campaigning on issues around sustainable farming and food production.
